Study Room Booking

The Placentia Library District provides access to two reservable study spaces:

  •  Barbara & Ed Hemmerling Group Study Rooms: Two study rooms for individual or group use, with a capacity of 6 people per room at one time
  • Quiet Nook Privacy Pods: Two privacy pods for individual use

Please take a moment to read the guidelines below before booking a study room.

Quick Guidelines

Booking Requirements

  • A current, valid Placentia Library District account
  • At least thirteen (13) years of age

Reserving the Rooms

  • Maximum of two (2) hours per person per day
  • Reservations will be held 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. After the grace period, the reservation may be forfeited and the room made available to another patron.

Usage Policies

  • No more than six (6) patrons may occupy a study room at one time. Privacy pods are intended for individual use (1 patron). 
  • Furniture may not be moved into or out of the study rooms. 
  • Patrons must maintain a moderate noise level and leave the room in good condition for the next user.
  • Study rooms are not intended to provide privacy. District staff may enter a room as needed for security, maintenance, operational, or other District purposes.
  • Personal property should not be left unattended. The District is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

Failure to comply with this policy or other District policies may result in loss of study room privileges and/or other Library privileges.
